When we planned to move to Nanaimo from Alberta, a friend who had recently bought a house recommended their Realtor to us.  We thought "why not? one Realtor is the same as any other"  Well, we are so glad that Jason was the one!  
Being new to town we were really unfamiliar with most of the areas, amenities and what was available for homes. Jason not only spent a lot of time with us knowing that we were just "scouting" at first, but he even joyfully took the time to drive us around and show us where parks, shopping and other facilities were located.    
Jason was very attentive and was always willing to accomodate our schedule and long distance travel plans. His honesty saved us a few headaches and his patience allowed us to explore as many options as possible, which lead to us finding a perfect home.  Even once our decision was made, he recommended and even helped make arrangements for all of our inspections, appraisals, lawyers and everything else that needed to be taken care. This was so helpful since we were out of the province and not always able to be here ourselves.....we knew that we had nothing to worry about.    
The day we moved in was obviously filled with excitement and there he was along side us carrying furniture from the moving truck just like he was a friend we had known for years.  
Most people, including ourselves tend to only write comments about a service when they are displeased. So it takes a pretty outstanding experience to prompt us to send in our recommendation.

Buying and selling a home can be one of the most nerve racking things a person can encounter.  In fact, I have heard that moving alone is in the top 3 for life stressors.  So needless to say, I was very nervous when we finally made the decision to sell our home.  We had previously started on the path of looking at what was out on the market for a possible family home, and the first one we had driven by had a Realty Executives sign on the lawn with Jason Blanchette’s name and contact number.  My husband phoned the number, and not only did Jason immediately respond to his call, he set up an appointment to look at this particular house instantly.  Jason and his business partner Marilyn Kennedy, showed us many homes that met our criteria, however, we felt that we weren’t ready.  Another season had passed and we felt the itch again, and this time we knew we were ready to take the next step...we wanted to sell our house.  There are so many names and real estate companies out there to choose from, which can be very overwhelming, but we knew in our hearts that we wanted Jason and Marilyn because of their unconditional dedication that they had given us in the past.  
 Since the day that we phoned them up and told them our plans Jason and Marilyn went above and beyond the whole way through!  Our house was on the market right away, and with Jason’s up to the minute technology and wisdom with the internet, we were also connected to an easy to use PCS system which gave us all kinds of listings to view right from the comfort of our own home.  Where we lived was quite a far distance from the Realty Executives office and they both made the trip day or night any time if we had questions or wanted to see them about something.  We knew we had made the right choice when we continuously received the most sincere, genuine and personable hands on service from Jason and Marilyn.  Having four children, it is deeply important to us to have trustworthy and child-friendly people in our lives and Jason absolutely fit the bill.  He was a huge hit with the kids!  Over the short period of time that our house was on the market we increasingly looked forward to seeing Jason not only for his knowledgeable words of advice, but even more so for his infectious humour.  We developed a client-agent relationship with Jason that has been full of compassion, understanding, honesty, and wisdom; something we never thought probable especially hearing of others’ stories with realtors.  Our home, which we had mixed emotions over selling, was so graciously and sensitively treated and had respectfully sold as a direct result of the care that Jason took to ensure that we had a low stress and extremely positive experience.  The phenomenal coverage and advertising that our home received led to several offers and a smooth sale.  When we are asked by friends and family about the service we received from Jason and Marilyn, words can not describe the personal touch that Jason and Marilyn brought to our lives.  An otherwise stressful and uncertain time of selling and buying a home was transformed into a fun and successful experience for us both.  If you are even thinking of buying or selling a home, we wholeheartedly recommend phoning Jason Blanchette and Marilyn Kennedy today!
